A view of the “Commodore” getting fuel for her sea trial and haul out.  First time I’ve ever locked through and been on Wilson Lake.  Quite a nice day other than being about 10 feet from the sun!  She ran quite well and was a really smooth ride.

These chairs just sit and wait year round for someone to sit in them.  Rain or shine hot or cold.  Dedicated they are.

Well work on the DanTera calendar has begun.  Five months of product shots are ready to go.  This is one that was shot today July 6th.  These will be somewhere around a 2×2 on the right of the calendar day/month.  I thought after the hairspray cans it would be no problem, but it seems Aveda’s recycled plastic all has a shine, and you just can’t get all the highlights to land where you want them to.  But pleased overall.  Be glad to start on the big monthly shots.

A sneak peek at the new DanTera Salon & Spa ad for Just for Women and Inside Huntsville for July.  We needed something summer like and I don’t know if we got that but I still like it.  And we got her out shooting at 8am so she was a trooper.  Kinda looks she needs some wings, a wood sprite maybe.

I have never shot product before….but I have to now for the DanTera calendar.  So I chose the product that shines the most first.  If I can get this down then the rest should be ok.  I am pleased with this trial version.

A quick shot of John at the river house before the storm. Hand held ringflash in my left hand at a 45 sorta, and the camera in the other.  With a Tokina 11-16mm at 16mm.  Some post work and a very nice portrait.

Got a ring flash and did some shots with it today.  Love the light!  This is a pixel flogging of a wall hanging .  Ole Sol with a new treatment I devised, over the top and I love it….

Earth Girl in her natural habitat, daughter of Mother Nature she wants you to be aware that this is Earth Month and the plight of the world, as one in seven people don’t have access to clean water.  Also in the next five years 36 states will experience water shortages.  This is one of a series of shots using Earth Girl to promote in magazine and print ads Aveda and DanTera Salon and Spa’s.

Went a bit Warhol on this one.  Fitting as this is a shot of my brothers ‘69 Boss 302 Mustang.  So fitting the effect to the era I suppose.

The poster for the Lavish Lash is done.  The software I got at Imaging USA in January is paying off.  Tammi G is the operator for this software, and we put it to great use today.  Along with the poster we did four makeovers, with the before and after on the same image.  Lots of fun stuff to come.
