Imagine what Vincent could have done with a computer to go along with his maddness/genuis.   This photo-painting kinda reminded me of him.  Sunflowers from Isom’s Orchards.

Cider Time

Well apple season is ramping up at Isom’s Orchards and that means it’s time for cider.  I had a sample yesterday and it was quite good.  They keep some to taste and buy by the cup or you can buy by the gallon soon.  They were working on getting the large cider press ready for the season.  Peaches are over with for the year and if the rain will quit they will be getting into the field for some pumpkins.

Anyone who knows me knows I like color…like the old saying goes “You only live once, so you might as well be colorful”.  That and some say my run with the 60’s…whatever the case,  here is a abstract I call “Happy Day” it is a reflection of  leaves on water, one of my favorite subjects, someday  I’ll do a book of them.

Don’t you wonder sometimes who was the first one to try something?  Like this Agave’ …somebody, somewhere, sometime said I wonder if I can make something to drink out of this.  When they mixed this with some Peyote buttons no doubt they thought they were in the realm of the Great Spirit.

Got a call from TammiG, she wanted to shoot some Sunflowers that she was told about.  So off we went.  Maybe not the best time of day for it but we got some really good shots I think.  In the above image a bee was hard at work,  and there were lots of bee’s,  plant bugs butterflies and worms  working the field.  Sunflowers make good subjects.

Butterbeans & Martins

In the image above you see climbing butterbeans and Martin houses.  This image has been “photopainted” a technique I  use from time to time.   Won’t be long and the leaves will be falling and the Marlins will have moved on till next year.
